GTA V features a wide array of weapons, including the sticky bomb. This item made its series debut in the DLC "The Ballad of Gay Tony" for GTA IV in 2009.
The sticky bombs, also known as fire bombs, are throwable explosives with a remote detonator. In GTA V, players can acquire sticky bombs by completing the mission "Friends Reunite." This mission tasks Trevor with using the sticky bombs to destroy a trailer park. Afterwards, the sticky bombs become part of the player's arsenal.
Players can purchase sticky bombs from Ammu-Nation for $400 each after the completion of the "Friends Reunited" mission. They can also be found around Los Santos in various locations. In GTA Online, players must reach rank 19 to purchase sticky bombs, which cost $600 each at Ammu-Nation.
To detonate the sticky bombs in GTA V on PS4, players must press R2 to place the bomb on the desired target and then press left on the D-pad to detonate it from a distance. On Xbox, the process is the same. On PC, players can simply press G to detonate the bomb after placing it.
Players can also throw sticky bombs while holding a gun in GTA V by having the sticky bomb as the explosive item and tapping left on the D-pad. It's also possible to throw sticky bombs while driving.
